School of the Rock

School of the Rock

While some of the classes at our free Wednesday night arts camp are already at capacity, there are still great options for your elementary-aged kids. The CUMC Kids ministry “School of the Rock” kicked off last week with more than 100 kids in various classes from art to hip-hop to karate to video production.

The following classes still have a few openings and GREAT instructors, so join in TONIGHT 6-8 pm! (And we really need helpers in our Preschool Arts classes which are full. If you are interested in working on great projects with this age group to help  increase class capacity, contact Danny Shivers ASAP at 901-870-1020 .)

  • Drama: Farmington Elementary teacher and Drama director Kate Crowder is leading this class bringing the parables of Jesus to life in today’s times.
  • Karate: Robert Blackstone returns to teach this popular class!
  • Cheer/dance: Local cheer coach Hannah Hammrick gets the kids moving in this active class.
  • Art I, II and III & clay also have a few openings.

There’s STILL TIME to join! Hope to see you tonight — and again, volunteer ‘arts’ teachers needed! Call Danny!
