It’s time to CELEBRATE!

Our partnership with the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church of Zambia, the Zambian Government, and the people of Eastern Province has already placed 14 wells in the ground bringing clean, safe water to young and old alike.

All through your donations to Water is Life.

Approximately 9,000 people no longer have to draw buckets of filthy, dangerous water from nearby puddles and streams that perpetuates the cycle of disease and death.

Here are pictures of CUMC wells and the lives touched by them:

About a month ago, CUMC released funds for 14 of the 19 wells funded to-date. Here a couple of excerpt from notes of appreciation we have already received.

Alex Mbewe, District Superintendent of Pilgrim Wesleyan Church, Eastern Province Zambia writes:

In preparation for the wells, I have spent most of my time in the rural areas of chiefs Mnukwa and Mafuta, holding Bible studies and crusades in readiness to planting churches in some of those communities. We are now on demand by chiefs and government officials as they appreciate the gift of boreholes to these people who have had to travel far to fetch water although it was not safe.

We are so thankful to both God for creating this partnership and you (Christ Church) for being sensitive to His leading. The chiefs Mnukwa and Mafuta send their messages of thanksgiving for the impact this ministry is already having in their chiefdoms.

The villages with bore holes currently are:

Come on, Christ Church!

20 of 25 wells have been funded.

Let’s finish strong and fund all 5 remaining wells by December 31, 2013!
