The Greatest Gift Christmas Store is our greatest opportunity to participate in the work of the Binghampton Development Corporation. One of the ways that the BDC helps build a greater quality of life for residents in the neighborhood comes during this most important time of year as parents want Christmas gifts for their kids.BDC Christmas Store

The design of the Greatest Gift Christmas Store is to not take away the joy of gift-giving from parents as toys are directly donated but rather to provide a shop where families can make their own purchases of brand-new toys to put under their tree.

It also provides seasonal, part-time employment for community members.

Last year, enough toys were donated to provide a Christmas store of wonderful gifts for parents from a total of 76 families and 240 children!

In only a week and a half’s time–by December 7–many toy donations are needed to meet the demand so that the Christmas Store is a success once again.

Christmas Store darkBrand-new, unopened toys for boys and girls ages 0 to 12 of diverse backgrounds are needed. Popular items include action figures (Avengers, Transformers, Spiderman, etc.), interactive dolls, sports items, educational toys for infants and toddlers and more found on the BDC’s Amazon Wish List. Use this list to get ideas or purchase directly from the list, using the shipping address provided.

If you choose to shop on Amazon, remember to shop on, choose the BDC as your charity of choice, and a portion of your purchase will support the BDC!

Please consider including a donation of the appropriate batteries for toys that require them.

Bring your donations by Monday, December 7, to drop-off locations:

  • SOS (2505 Poplar Ave) (you can also ship here directly)
  • BDC (280 Tillman St)
  • Boxes in the west sanctuary and Seabrook lobbies of Christ Church (4488 Poplar Ave)
