Help provide dignified transportation for Senior Adults

Post by Chris Carter, Congregational Care

How would you like to be a Lifeline? You can be through iTN (Independent Transportation Network), a new ministry launching in January 2013. Christ Church will be the pilot church for this nonprofit ministry which provides safe rides in automobiles, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with drivers who are trained to ensure every passenger’s safety and comfort. Rides are available any time for adults over 60 and people with visual impairments.

Christ Church is looking for 10 volunteer drivers to launch this program! Do you have a driving desire to help people? If you love to drive and have some spare time on your hands, this may be the perfect way for you to serve senior adults who can no longer get behind the wheel. You can be a lifeline to help older adults stay connected to their church, families, friends, and activities that bring meaning to their lives – and to yours!

If interested, contact Chris Carter in Congregational Care, (901) 261-2113 for more information. Please call soon!
