Have you seen the new remodeled and updated Children’s Library located in Christ Church’s Lamppost Library?  If not, you need to stop by and see the wonderful books that are available. There are board books for babies and easy readers and picture books for toddlers through seven-year-olds.  Series books as well as non-fiction books for ages 7-12 are also on hand. Bibleman, Veggie Tales and many other DVDs are free as well as movies and sing-a-long CDs.

With the New Year comes the opportunity to begin small group or individual Bible Studies. Have you checked the Media Room in the library?  There are Andy Stanley, Beth Moore  & Adam Hamilton studies. We have the three new Bibles Studies discussed by the “Abingdon Women” ……Kim Dunnam Reisman, Babbie Mason & Jessica LaGrone when they spoke at CUMC this fall. There are movies about Bible characters, secular movies and family movies as well as exercise CDs, books on tape and a whole rack of Christian music!

Among the “Top Ten” Christian books in the library are new books by Max Lucado, Billy Graham and even Phil Robertston’s Happy, Happy, Happy.  Christian fiction by Karen Kingsbury, Francine Rivers and Terri Blackstock is available as well as biographies such as Bonhoeffer, Kisses for Katie and Long Walk to Freedom by Nelson Mandela.

Books by Shane and Maxie as well as John Maxwell, Max Lucado, Gary Smalley  and  Joyce Meyer are available. Stop by and see what a wonderful treasure we have at Christ Church! We look forward to showing you around.
