Anita Jones, Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor and Minister-at-Large (Shane & Maxie), is retiring after 26 years at Christ Church. During her tenure at the church, Anita has worked in membership, evangelism and the senior pastor’s office. In addition to working for ministers Jim Mulroy, Brad Gabriel and Richard Clark, she has also served as assistant to Christ Church’s last four senior pastors: Maxie Dunnam, Bill Bouknight, Steve Dodson and Shane Stanford.

Since she started working at the church, Anita said the biggest changes she’s seen are in technology. “When I was hired, it was to input members’ names into the computer system, which the church had just started using right before I got here. Now we do everything by technology.”

As Anita closes one chapter in her life and prepares to open another, she is thankful for the way God has worked in her life through her job at the church. “I’ve met life-long friends through staff and members who have walked with me on my spiritual journey,” she said. “They will always be in my heart and in my life. I’ve grown through all those precious relationships.”

Anita, thank you for your faithful service these past 26 years. May God continue to bless you in your retirement!

>>Love Offering for Anita: Thursday, Sept. 28 is Anita’s last day at Christ Church, and we would like to honor her with a love offering, which will be collected from now until October 8.
